OTHERS WITH RESPECT
By Rich "MR POS" Wilkins
There is a very significant natural law in our world that simply says,
"What goes around, comes around." If you want respect from others,
you have to show them respect. However, it's hard to respect others
if we don't respect ourselves and what we believe. Ephesians
4:32 says, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each
other, just as in Christ God forgave you." One of the greatest
gifts that we receive from Christ is His forgiveness of our sins.
Becoming Christ like means that you have the power to forgive others
for what they have done to you. Because of this forgiveness, others
can be motivated to forgive and respect you. I encourage you to test
the validity of God's forgiveness by earnestly and openly asking Christ
to forgive you. Once you have established your eternal relationship
with Christ, ask the person whom you'd like to have respect from to
forgive you. Because faith is very powerful, you will find that if
Christ can forgive you and love you, you can also earn someone else's
respect by asking for their forgiveness and loving them as Christ
loves us.
