E XPECTING POSITIVE
OUTCOMES DAILY
By Rich "MR POS" Wilkins All to often people condition themselves into a stifling pool of "mediocrity." The reason why we accept mediocrity is because we don't have POSitive expectations of ourselves, much less others. What makes the difference between average people and people who become great in God's eyes is that they expect POSitive outcomes and they get them through their obedience and faith in Him. God expects us to be obedient to Him, and when we are, it's okay for us to expect POSitive outcomes from Him. God does not mind being challenged by anyone who is faithful and obedient to Him. As a motivational speaker I get tremendously excited about God's expectations for us because I have come to learn that you get what you expect in life, especially when you live a life of obedience to God. However, you have to know the process of bringing about those POSitive expectations. The process begins with understanding God's word through daily devotions and then having the faith to do God's will. We are reminded of this several times in the Bible, but especially in Mark 11:24 which reads, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours!" John also reminds us in John 16:24 by saying, "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." As I said earlier, we must understand the process of expectations and the most important ingredient is to ask for what you expect in prayer.
