By Rich "MR POS" Wilkins Statistics show that it costs American consumers millions of dollars a year when workers don't do the job right the first time. I often hear comments from people in the business world such as, "It's not the best, but it's good enough for government work." "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Doing the job right the first time is not an obligation, it's an attitude. It is the first cousin to the attitude of taking pride in whatever you do. When we become one in Christ, He empowers us to do many things right beginning with our decision to accept Him openly, honestly and earnestly as our Lord and Savior. Peter reminds us of the importance of accepting Christ earnestly in 2 Peter 2:20 by saying, "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning." Again, Peter gives us a reminder of how important it is to make sure that we make our best effort to do it right the first time. Praise the Lord for giving us the ability, and giving us grace when we need it.
